FOSILNI PREDMETI
iz prirodnjačke zbirke

Prvi predmeti, odnosno fosilizirani komadi paleoflore i paleofaune deponovani su u Muzej još krajem XIX veka. Pouzdano se zna da je prve primerke fosila i minerala doneo geolog i vulkanolog Rudolf Mileker, sin Feliksa Milekera, prvog kustosa Gradskog muzeja Vršac.

CYCLING IN VRŠAC

Bicycle, as “the means of transport using human power’’, was constructed at the beginning of the 19th century. It was invented by baron de Dreis. This invention, made in 1817, was constructed of wood and it got its name after his creator – dresina. It consisted of wheels (similar to the cart’s), a seat, a support for the rider’s body and a primitive steering in the shape of a pole. It didn’t have pedals, and the rider moved it by bracing his feet against the ground...

FELIX MILLEKER
past for the future

Teacher by profession, Milleker first worked in Bela Crkva. When School Council of Vrsac called him in 1883, Milleker comes back to his hometown to work as a teacher, and two years later, he was offered to be the manager of the Vrsac library. As municipal government wanted Museum to be a part of the City library, Milleker becomes a first curator of the Museum in 1894...
